4 Tips To Stay Productive While Working From Home

Working from home this season? If you're struggling to focus and be productive, you're not alone! We have 4 essential tips that will help you to have the most productive work-from-home experience.

1. Start with a morning prep routine

Work-from-home tip #1: Prep yourself for the day and your mind will follow! By keeping a “get-ready” routine like taking a shower, putting on a bit of makeup and changing out of your PJs, you're giving your brain a cue that it’s time to get into a mode of work. It can be anything to help you start the momentum for the day, whether it’s coffee or lipstick! If you need some outfit ideas, here they are for the ladies and for the gentlemen.

2. Set aside a space for work

Work-from-home tip #2: To help your brain create new associations in working from home, set up a special place away from your bedroom/rest spaces just for work. Make the area a place you don’t have to keep repeatedly tidy. A small plant or essential oils might help to set the atmosphere too. Now you’re all ready to start your productive day!

3. Set 3 work goals and prioritise them

Work-from-home tip #3: It's true what they said; if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. A recurring habit among many successful people is planning the day ahead. If there’s too much uncertainty, you can set 3 work goals that are achievable within the day and prioritize them at all cost.

You can also schedule specific timings for specific tasks; it helps you to have a clear idea of what needs to be done and when. Put it into your calendar with a reminder! It will help minimise procrastination.

4. Make space + time for health & wellness

Work-from-home tip #4: We're not just talking about physical health, but also your mental health! When you're planning your day ahead, always schedule a specific time for you to take care of yourself, be it through exercising or spending quality time with your loved ones.
